David Hudiburg, Hudiburg Auto Group in Midwest City and Oklahoma City is the 2008 OADA nominee for the Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award. The winner will be announced at the NADA Convention in San Francisco, CA, Saturday, February 9th.
David is another individual who grew up in the automotive business. His father started Hudiburg Chevrolet in 1957 in Midwest City. From a very early age he would go to the dealership with his father and loved seeing all the new cars. At the age of 15, he started at the back end of the dealership, detailing cars for his father. He learned all facets of the business from detailing to president of the company. He started his career path in the car business in 1976. Over the years, the Hudiburg family have bought and sold many dealerships; currently they have six franchises under the Hudiburg umbrella.
David is involved in OADA serving on the Board of Directors as a Director, Zone Vice Chairman and was elected as the 2nd Vice Chairman last November. He is also involved in the Metropolitan Auto Dealers Association and is a long time member of the National Automobile Dealers Association.
David is married to Lezlie and together they have 4 children, Davis, Andrew, Emily and Grant. Together, they are very involved in community service. In 2006, they received the National Philanthropy Day’s Outstanding Philanthropists Award. Helping the less fortunate in their community is most dear to their hearts. David was the 2002 Co-Chair of the capital campaign for Westminster School in Oklahoma City. David was instrumental is helping the school reach their $12 million goal, which helped rebuild the entire campus.
